1. About FOEW

1.1. What is FOEW?

“Friends of Eng Wah” is a rewards program by EW Cinemas, and is the First Cinema Movie Club in Singapore. EW Cinemas has been Rewarding Friends since 2002.

1.2. What is the difference between a FOEW card and a MGC (Movie Gift Card)?

The FOEW card allows the cardholder to accumulate FOEW Points with purchases at EW Cinemas. The MGC is a stored value card that allows the cardholder to redeem for movie tickets / combo vouchers at EW Box Office.

1.3. Is there an expiry date to my membership?

Membership is valid for 3 years. Your membership is automatically renewed upon spending $100 on movie tickets and/or combos per calendar year.

1.4. How does the FOEW program work?

The FOEW card allows the cardholder to accumulate FOEW Points with full priced purchases at EW Cinemas. A catalogue of products and services is available for members to make redemption at any EW Box Office or via email request at foew@engwah.com.sg

FOEW members also enjoy a host of privileges such as special invitations to movies and events, exclusive contests, discounts and promotions with participating promotional partner merchants on the FOEW program.

2. Signing Up

2.1. How do I sign up as a member?

Application forms are available at all EW Cinemas Box Office. Complete the form and hand it to our Customer Service Staff. Membership is FREE. Or Join Us for $5 & receive a Welcome Pack worth $35. You will be issued with your FOEW card where you can begin accumulating FOEW Points with your purchases.

2.2. Is there a minimum age requirement to join the FOEW program?

No, we believe that no one is ever too young or too old to be our Friend. At FOEW, we welcome Friends of all ages.

EW may require any FOEW applicant under the age of 21 years to produce such proof of parental consent to his participation in this Programme or the redemption of any Rewards as EW may reasonably require as a condition precedent of its obligations hereunder.

2.3. I see that there are a few designs available. Are the benefits different?

FOEW is a membership card built on lifestyle-based benefits. The variety of FOEW card designs is aimed at catering to the unique personality of our Friends from different age groups and all walks of life. While the design of the FOEW cards may be different, the benefits are identical.

3. Earning Points

3.1. How are points awarded?

For every $1* that is spent at EW Cinemas, FOEW members are rewarded with 10 FOEW Points. A redemption catalogue is available for members’ selection.

FOEW Points may ONLY be earned on account of or applied towards the purchase of full priced tickets or merchandise. FOEW Points cannot be combined or used in conjunction with other promotions, coupons, discounts, concessionaire schemes or special offers, unless otherwise stated.

3.2. I am not a member, but I have made some purchases and I have the receipts. Can you add in the points when I sign up as a member?

FOEW Points can only be issued upon presentation of FOEW card before payment is made.

3.3. How can I earn points?

FOEW Points can only be issued at EW Cinemas Box Office and at www.ewcinemas.com.sg for the purchase of full priced movie tickets and combos. FOEW Points can only be issued upon the presentation of FOEW card before payment is made at the Box Office, or upon the registering of FOEW ID when purchasing tickets and combos online. FOEW Points cannot be combined or used in conjunction with other promotions, coupons, discounts, concessionaire schemes or special offers.

3.4. Can I exchange or refund my points / reward for cash?

Under no circumstances will Rewards nor FOEW Points be refunded or exchanged for cash.

3.5. Can I earn points at other establishments, such as The Legends Fort Canning, The Legends Golf & Resort, and retail shops in EW properties such as Jubilee, Toa Payoh and Empress?

FOEW Points can only be issued at EW Cinemas Box Office and at www.ewcinemas.com.sg for the purchase of full priced movie tickets and combos.

3.6. Can I earn points with purchases made online, on WAP, SingPost SAM, and through hotline?

FOEW Points can only be issued at EW Cinemas Box Office and at www.ewcinemas.com.sg for the purchase of full priced movie tickets and combos.

3.7. Can I earn points over the concessionaire counter?

FOEW Points can only be issued at EW Cinemas Box Office and at www.ewcinemas.com.sg for the purchase of full priced movie tickets and combos.

3.8. Can I use multiple FOEW cards to earn points, and for redemption?

Each FOEW member is limited to only 1 FOEW account at any point of time; FOEW Points can only be issued to 1 FOEW card/membership account per transaction.

FOEW Points are not transferable.

3.9. What if I had forgotten to present my card when I made my purchase at the Box Office?

FOEW Points can only be issued in a single transaction. FOEW Points can only be issued upon the presentation of FOEW card before payment is made at the Box Office.

3.10. What if I had forgotten to enter my FOEW ID number during my online purchase?

FOEW Points can only be issued in a single transaction. FOEW Points can only be issued upon entering your FOEW ID number before payment is made online.

4. Point Expiry

4.1. Is there an expiry date for my points?

FOEW Points expire on 31 Dec, 2 years from the date of issue.

4.2. How can I check the balance and expiry date of my points?

Simply call us at 6734 0028 during standard business hours (Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm), or write to us at foew@engwah.com.sg.

5. Redemption

5.1. How do I make redemption?

Simply fill up a redemption form at any EW Box Office, or write to us at foew@engwah.com.sg. Please allow at least 14 working days for the processing of the redemption item(s). Once the redemption item is ready for collection at the cinema outlet you have selected, our staff will contact you.

When writing to us, please provide us with the following details so that we can process your redemption promptly:

i. User ID (Eg. EW_123456)
ii. NRIC
iii. Email
iv. FOEW Member's name
v. Items to redeem
vi. Cinema to collect redemption item
vii.. Contact number

5.2. Can I use my friend’s / family’s FOEW card to make a redemption?

No. You are required to present the FOEW card and a photo ID at the EW Box Office when you collect your redemption.

5.3. What form of identification do I need to collect my redemption?

You will need to bring along your FOEW card and a photo ID to EW box office when you collect your redemption.

6. Transfer of Points

6.1. Are my points transferable?

No.

7. Replacement Cards

7.1. I have misplaced my existing FOEW card. How should I get a replacement?

To get a replacement card, simply make your way to any EW Box Office to complete the FOEW application form. Submit the completed form to our friendly Customer Service Staff (CSS) at the Box Office and a brand new card will be issued to you immediately.

An administrative fee of $5 is chargeable. Kindly make cash payment at any EW Box Office.
