THE ENG WAH ("EW") GROUP - ITS RICH HISTORY

The Eng Wah Group, founded in the 1940s, is a leading film exhibitor and distributor with 20 strategically located cinema screen halls. It is the first cinema operator to launch the world’s first full 2K (HD) Digital Cinema, and is still the operator with the most 2K digital screens in Singapore. Eng Wah Cinemas is also the first to commercially screen 3D digital movies in 2008.

Eng Wah cineplexes are outfitted with the latest cinematic sound technology to thrill the most discerning movie goers – Digital Dolby, Digital Theatre Sound (DTS), Special Recording Dolby Sound Digital (SRD), and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS). EW’s customers always enjoy movies at its very best in terms of sound effects and visual experience!

The Group also owns and leases several commercial properties in Singapore which include the Jubilee Entertainment Complex at Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre, and Empress Clementi.
